We care for you.Position OverviewJoin our team as a Kennel Assistant who supports and adds value to an efficient organization dedicated to quality care and exceptional service. This position supports veterinarians and technicians in their daily tasks by cleaning and maintaining equipment; feeding, exercising, restraining and handling pets.Animal Medical Center of Cumming in Cumming, Georgia, we are a team of dedicated animal care professionals operating a full-service veterinary hospital with a large boarding facility. We are hard-working, confident, and enthusiastic about our profession and provide exceptional medicine, boarding, and playtime to our community. If you're passionate about animal care and want hands-on experience in a supportive, collaborative environment, we'd love to have you on our team.Key ResponsibilitiesWalking dogsAbility to oversee multiple dogs in an outside setting for playtimes. Providing fresh food and water. Cleaning animal waste, spilled food and other debris from kennel. Checking dogs/cats in for boarding, playtime, and daycare. Taking animals to and from the kennel. BathingBe able to read body language and/or signs of aggression. Ensuring safety of everyone. Assisting other hospital staff. Clean, fold, and stock kennel laundry throughout the clinic. Confident in handling animals.
