Non-profit Cat Depot’s cat only public clinic and shelter hospital, adjacent to our adoption center, are located in beautiful, sunny Sarasota, FL, minutes from Gulf of Mexico beaches.Our public Cat Care Clinic offers full-service medical care from wellness to complex surgeries, ultrasound, dentistry and orthopedics. Spectrum of Care, grants and tiered fee schedules based on financial need means we never have to turn away clients and their cats for care when they need us most or they have nowhere else to go.Our Shelter Hospital, just down the hall, operates as a separate facility serving homeless cats, cats relinquished for adoption, foster kittens, neonates, our Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return, and hoarding/cruelty/weather disaster transfers and rescues.Cat Depot's Samsung ultrasound, digital dental & full-body xray, Sedivue urine analyzer, neonatal incubator, Cutting Edge cold laser, Idexx chemistry and CBC in-house lab are your playground. Or, send out to veterinary specialists for consult. We make sure that no matter what their story before they came to us, and no matter what they experience after they leave, with us, they are loved.Requirements:Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from a U.S. accredited veterinary schoolValid Florida veterinary license or ability to obtain.Fear Free certified or willing to obtain.Excellent client relationship and team skills.Passion for animal welfare, animal rescue. Specifically, cats.Strong understanding of feline behavior and medicine.Surgery, dentistry skills, internal medicine, and critical care skills experience.Professionalism at all times, including an enthusiastic, positive, diplomatic demeanor.Affiliation with AAHA, AAFP, HSUS, Best Friends or ASPCA a plus.Highly competitive salary and PTO equivalent to for-profit practices, insurance, continuing education, and a friendly, talented team who puts cats first and loves working together.
