Part-time English as a Second Language Instructors JobID: 1777Position Type:Temporary/SeasonalDate Posted:11/30/2022Location:RVC DowntownAdditional Information: Show/HideThe Adult Education and Literacy Department is seeking English as a Second Language Instructors.Duties:Instruct adult ESL students in classes and learning experiences which will lead to the achievement of their educational and personal goalsCreate lesson plans that follow the curriculumComplete student and departmental recordsEvaluate and document student progressUse appropriate texts and teaching materials, as assigned by the CoordinatorAttend and participate in conferences related to teaching areaAttend program meetings and staff development activitiesAssist students in the proper use of classroom equipment where appropriateShow tolerance and flexibility in dealing with persons from disadvantaged social, economic and educational backgroundsShow respect for cultural differencesInterested individuals must have the minimum of a Bachelor's degree and knowledge of basic computer skills. Experience teaching adults as well as working with ESL student populations is preferred.
