Be the difference.Job SummaryAs part of the Prisma Health apprenticeship program for unlicensed assistive personnel, performs routine assistive tasks to assist the patient in their comfort and to meet basic patient needs. In this role, the team member will learn valuable skills to prepare them for future careers in healthcare.Essential Functions* All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.* Assists patients with needs related to personal hygiene. Duties include, but are not limited to, bathing, washing hair, brushing teeth, and washing hands.* Assists patients with needs related to ambulation after delegation from the RN. Duties include, but are not limited to, dangling, walking, walking with assistive device, toileting and implementing fall prevention measures under the direction of the Registered Nurse.* Provides directional assistance and Wayfinding.* Turns and repositions patients as directed* Acts as a courier/runner to other areas of the hospital.* Transports discharged patients or assists technician or RN with hospital transports.* Performs other duties as assigned.Supervisory/Management Responsibility* This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.Minimum Requirements* Education - High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred or currently in high school* Experience - No experience required.In Lieu Of* N/ARequired Certifications, Registrations, Licenses* After hire, must register with the USDOL as an apprentice.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities* Proficient computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database, data entry)Work ShiftVariable (United States of America)LocationGreenville Memorial HospitalFacility7001 CorporateDepartment70019208 Workforce DevelopmentShare your talent with us!
