Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Role: Forward Deployed AI EngineerLocation: New York or San Francisco$175,000 to $230,000 base + equityWe’re partnered with one of the fastest growing AI companies in the US building enterprise AI agents that power customer interactions across voice, chat, email, and messaging.They’re now building a specialist technical delivery team responsible for taking those agents from concept to production. This role sits between engineering, product, and customers, owning the hands on implementation work required to launch and scale enterprise-grade AI systems.What you’ll do:• Own enterprise AI agent deployments from scoping through launch and iteration• Configure agent behaviour, workflows, guardrails, and quality controls• Build and validate integrations across customer environments and internal systems• Work directly with technical stakeholders to define requirements and drive delivery• Translate customer feedback into product improvements alongside engineeringWhat we’re looking for:• Strong experience in a technical customer-facing role (FDE, Solutions Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Technical PM, SWE or similar)• Strong coding fundamentals and comfortable building integrations end to end• Experience shipping production systems and iterating based on customer outcomes• Strong communication and ability to influence technical stakeholders• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and moving quicklyExposure to LLMs, AI agents, prompt design, evaluation, or agent workflows is a strong plusIf this sounds like something you’d be excited to explore, apply and we’ll be in touch.
