You will be responsible for developing relationships with carrier companies and committing to sustaining and growing those relationships through consistent and strategic communication.ResponsibilitiesCreate and manage an individual book of business.Develop new and grow existing relationships with carriers through cold calling, lead generation, and referrals.Source and negotiate with the carrier base to move available loads.Book available freight in a cost-effective manner.Communicate customer problems, leads, and inquiries to the customer sales reps.Properly document truck capacity within the TMS system.Other duties as assigned.RequirementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in supply chain, business, Sales, Marketing, or Communication preferredLogistics, sales, or customer service experience preferredBasic understanding of freight markets preferredStrong work-ethicSales driveExcellent written and verbal communication skillsConfident negotiating and decision-making skillsAbility to multitask and navigate pressure situationsEdge is an equal opportunity employer and considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, age, national origin, marital status, disability, or sexual orientation.
