Nurse Manager Operating RoomThe Clinical Nursing Manager is responsible for the management of clinical nursing practices and patient care delivery on the assigned unit(s). The role functions include management of human, fiscal, material, support and systems resources while achieving and maintaining the goals of a unit or department by focusing on the unit or department's daily operations. The Clinical Nursing Manager role demonstrates a high level of integrity, willingness to take on new challenges and prioritizes associate engagement. This position consistently promotes a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers. The Clinical Nursing Manager supports associate development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.Minimum of 3 years RN Experience requiredPrevious Leadership experience required- min 1yrPrevious OR experience required.**Must have previous experience circulating and/or scrubbing multiple servicesDay to Day:Ensure appropriate staffing plan matching competency with patient acuityProvide direct oversight of associates to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and nursing practice.Maintain clinical RN competencyConduct on evaluation of productivity and collaborate with finance to forecast revenue and expenses to prepare and manage the unit/department's budgetCoach the staff to build confidence and encourage professional growth.Influence others in fostering a healthy work environmentAssist in the development and implementation of educational programs/ practices for department associates.Model professionalism and leadership within the department.Responsibilities may include conducting training for Clinical Coordinators, Charge RNs, and staff members.Teamwork and Collaboration: Function effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care.Oversight of the staff schedule and call schedule.Support the Charge Nurse and the perioperative and surgical teamsMight also be needed to fill occasional gaps in staffing.Assist with schedules and Pay RollOccurrence Report Follow upWill have approx. 40 direct reports.10 OR Suites +1 Cysto Room+1minor procedure roomApprox. 600-700+ cases per monthSchedule- 40 hrs/Week- Variable shift times/days per surgical Volume and current unit needsCall is not required, but you may need to fill in to cover schedule gaps occasionally.Job Requirements3 years RN experience, required1-year clinical leadership experience, requiredHigh School GED requiredA degree in nursing (BSN or MSN), requiredMasters Degree preferredCurrent RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, requiredBLS through the American Heart AssociationMust sit for appropriate board certification within six months of hire or transfer into the role. Certification must be passed/obtained within two years of hire or transfer into the role.Clinical and/or Leadership certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer. Credential: Nursing Specific- ANCC ApprovedPhysical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
