HR Assistant Start working the way you've imagined Volt is immediately hiring for a Part Time Human Resources Assistant in Valdosta, GA! As a PT Human Resources Assistant you will: Welcome visitors and job applicants in a professional manner. Handle incoming calls for the HR department. Confirm applicants meet required qualifications, including valid driver's license. Coordinate interview scheduling and notify applicants of appointments. Document reference checks and maintain compliance with employment verification processes. Prepare and facilitate new hire orientation sessions. Manage applicant scheduling for orientation and monitor attendance reporting. Source and review resumes, screen applications, and refer qualified candidates to hiring managers. Assess candidate qualifications against job requirements. Complete pre-employment steps such as reference checks and background screenings. Track probationary periods and communicate seniority status to management. Communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels. Demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Maintain confidentiality and exhibit professionalism, tact, and strong interpersonal skills. Perform additional HR-related tasks as assigned. This is a Part Time Onsite Role - Monday to Friday - 2 hours a Day - AM only The Ideal candidate will have experience with: Reading and understand safety and procedure documents. Write simple reports and emails. Speak clearly to groups and individuals. Calculate percentages, discounts, and basic figures. Understand basic algebra and geometry. Intermediate skills in Word and Excel. Experience with databases. Type at least 40 words per minute.
