Position Summary:The Lead Operator will be responsible for coordinating the flow of products and materials to ensure smooth manufacturing operations. This role involves handling production processes, assisting operators, and ensuring efficiency in material movement while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.Pay: $20-$23/hour (DOE)Schedules Available:Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday 5am-5pmSunday-Tuesday and every other Wednesday 5pm-5am (*+$1.50 night shift differential*)Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday 5pm-5am (*+$1.50 night shift differential*)Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinate the flow of products and materials to meet production needs and reduce downtimeLoad hoppers and ensure machines have necessary materialsPull completed assemblies from machine output and transfer to appropriate designated areasClear simple tool or machine errors as authorized by Engineering; escalate all other issues to the supervisor and maintenance teamEnsure proper documentation and tracking of material movements, if applicableCoordinate the flow of personnel to ensure all tools/stations are covered with an operatorOrganize and cover breaks to ensure continued production without disruptionProvide day-to-day guidance to production operators and act as the first point of contact for questions or concernsProvide on-the-job training and instruction to new or reassigned employeesMonitor attendance and productivity issues and escalate more serious concerns to the Production SupervisorServe as a liaison between production operators and the Production SupervisorReport ongoing issues, downtime, or production concerns to the Production Supervisor in a timely mannerMaintain open communication with maintenance, quality, and other departments as needed to ensure production flowQualifications:Required:High school diploma or equivalent1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferredAbility to identify and resolve minor technical or personnel issues and escalate when appropriateCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementPhysical ability to lift and move heavy materials up to 50lbs and stand/walk for extended periods of timeKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Good problem-solving skills with keen attention to detailGood interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalWorking Conditions / Physical Requirements:The physical demands listed below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
