Master Service Technician – Field Service | Buffalo, NYJoin Our Team at JIT Toyota-Lift!We are seeking a skilled and motivated Master Service Technician to join our team. This is a field-based position, working independently to diagnose, repair, and service forklifts, sweepers/scrubbers, aerial lifts, and other material handling equipment at customer sites. We have multiple Master Service Technician positions available! Company Provided Service Van to drive to/from work.If you're looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same — and you're ready to grow your career with a trusted, industry-leading company — we want to hear from you.What You'll DoAs a Master Field Service Technician, you’ll:Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using strong technical knowledge and company diagnostic tools.Inspect, service, and repair equipment based on customer needs and manufacturer specifications.Dismantle, repair/replace, and reassemble components to ensure peak equipment performance.Perform preventive maintenance and recommend in-shop repairs when needed.Maintain and manage parts inventory in your assigned company-provided service van.Accurately complete required paperwork and service documentation.Uphold safety standards and represent JIT Toyota-Lift with professionalism and pride.Stay up to date on industry advancements through company-sponsored training.Occasionally support emergency breakdowns via rotating on-call schedule.QualificationsEducation:Required: High school diploma or equivalentPreferred: Technical college coursework or certificationsExperience:Minimum 4-5 years of proven experience in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing forklifts or related equipment (sweepers/scrubbers, lifts, etc.)Specific experience diagnosing and repairing Class 1- 3 forklifts preferredUnderstanding of forklift/material handling equipment electrical systems including diagnosis and repairAbility to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systemsStrong problem-solving and time management skillsClean driving record and valid driver’s license requiredWhat We’re Looking ForA self-starter who can work independently in the fieldTechnically skilled with strong mechanical aptitudeComfortable using hand/power tools and diagnostic equipmentPhysically able to lift/move equipment and work in various customer environmentsExcellent communication and customer service skillsLocation & TravelThis position is based out of our Buffalo, NY facilityRegular travel to customer locations in Erie, Niagara, and Wyoming countiesCompany-provided service van includedWorking Conditions & Physical RequirementsHands-on role involving manual labor, tool usage, and exposure to varying indoor/outdoor environmentsSafety gear provided and requiredMust be able to stand, kneel, lift, and move equipment as neededCompensation & Benefits$1,500-$2,500 Sign-on Bonus dependent on level of experienceCompetitive pay based on experience401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, and vision insuranceAncillary benefits (life, disability, etc.)Paid vacation and sick timeTool allowance and boot allowanceCell phone stipendCompany-paid training and developmentOpportunities for advancement for both entry-level and experienced techniciansJIT Toyota-Lift is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
