About the Role:All properties are supported by our Massachusetts-based Home Office which houses the following departments: Accounting; Accounts Payable; Accounts Receivable; Payroll; Management; Operations; and Finance. The Financial Accountant position is responsible for activities associated with maintaining and reviewing ledger accounts, generating and reviewing financial statements and reports, as well as completing financial analysis projects and reporting as needed.Responsibilities Include:Assist with completion of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process including journal entries, financial statement preparation, and related analysis.Review of transactional detail for discrepancies/accuracy.Reconcile accounts and review reconciliations prepared by others.Assist with regulatory filing requirements.Participate in year-end income tax return preparation of various entitiesCompile financials and specific community business plans to assist with property financing and lender compliance.Participate in property acquisition and sales closing transactions.Support leadership with financial and administrative projects.Manage Real Estate Tax valuation and abatement process Qualifications:BS in Accounting, Economics or FinanceStrong analytical skills to interpret and evaluate financial resultsExcellent verbal and written communications skillsDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with tight deadlinesAbility to work independently and as a team playerMotivated, proactive self-starterProficiency in Microsoft Office software Compensation & Benefits Package:Generous salary commensurate with experienceComprehensive benefits program to include health, dental and vision insurance401K Retirement program & matchShort-term and Long-term disability insuranceGreat work-life balanceInformal, collaborative work environmentHybrid schedule based out of Agawam, MA (4 days in office, 1 day remote)To Apply:Submit your resume and cover letter online for review.
