AWS Solutions Architect & DevOps Engineer

Position: Senior AWS Solutions Architect We are seeking an experienced AWS Solutions Architect to join our team and integrate seamlessly into an established cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, deploying, and managing scalable AWS solutions while providing expert guidance on cloud architecture. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services, architecture best practices, and the ability to work collaboratively to optimize performance, security, and cost-efficiency. Pay: Mid lvl: $125hrly+ (1099 or C2C rate) Sr lvl: $150hrly+ (1099 or C2C rate) Responsibilities: Architect and design scalable, secure, and resilient solutions using AWS services, including AWS Fargate, S3, Kinesis, DynamoDB, RDS, Redshift, and IAM. Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate AWS services into existing infrastructure while ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance requirements. Develop and maintain automation for CI/CD pipelines utilizing Git, GitHub/Lab, Docker, and Terraform to streamline cloud deployments and configurations. Provide strategic guidance on AWS cloud best practices, ensuring performance, security, and cost-efficiency across the organization. Design and implement database architectures, including relational and key-value databases, that meet application and performance needs. Leverage expertise in human-machine interface design and UI/UX to ensure optimal user experiences in cloud-based systems. Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies to ensure that cloud-based applications are stable, maintainable, and scalable. Analyze performance and cost trade-offs within AWS, optimizing workloads for both financial efficiency and operational performance. Handle large datasets in AWS environments, ensuring efficient storage, processing, and visualization using services like Redshift, S3, and Kinesis. Design migration strategies to transition on-premise or other cloud services into AWS environments seamlessly. Qualifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Associate level (or equivalent experience). Strong expertise in AWS services, including Fargate, S3, Kinesis, DynamoDB, RDS, Redshift, IAM, and VPC. Experience with cloud architecture design principles, including high availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and data security. Proficiency in automation and infrastructure as code (IaC) using CI/CD, Docker, Terraform, and Git/GitHub/Lab. Expertise in architecting secure environments, including designing policies around IAM, VPC, and security best practices in AWS. Strong knowledge of database architectures (relational, key-value) and data storage services such as DynamoDB, RDS, and Redshift. Familiarity with human-machine interface design (UI/UX) principles. Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) practices. Ability to make informed performance and cost optimization decisions within AWS environments. Experience working with large-scale datasets, data processing, and visualization within AWS. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills: Experience leading cloud migrations or hybrid cloud integrations. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work with engineering, product, and business teams. Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework for building secure, high-performing, resilient, and efficient infrastructure for applications.
