Duties will include development of real-time software in support of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) test capabilities; software development, integration, and maintenance efforts utilizing cross-discipline engineering resources and skills; and integration of hardware, software, and simulation models into real-time HWIL simulations. All these duties will support the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) in the area of missile research and development.Education and Experience:Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution3+ years of experienceRequired:Experience with object-oriented software development in C++Experience with low-level systems programming in CExperience with Linux operating systems, preferably Red HatExperience with real-time systems and softwareIndependent and self-motivated, problem solver, strategic thinkerDesired:Experience with Linux kernel module and device driver developmentExperience with version control software and issue tracking (specifically Git and GitLab)Experience with Bash scriptingExperience with other programming languages, including Python, Fortran, and AdaA high level of computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are required, along with organizational, managerial, written, and verbal communication skills.
