Vehicle Operator - $1000 Sign-On Bonus Available!

Provides transportation for adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Vehicle Operator ensures the safety of the vehicle for operations, assists ambulatory and wheelchair-bound individuals in entering and exiting the vehicle, and ensures individuals are properly seated and secured, providing assistance when required. The Vehicle Operator is responsible for regulating heat, lighting, radio, and the ventilation system for the comfort of vehicle passengers. The Vehicle Operator is responsible for maintaining daily transportation logs and written reports; as well as ensuring that the vehicle interior and exterior is clean.Minimum Education & Experience* High school diploma or GED preferred.* Three years of experience driving. Experience working with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities is helpful.Licensure/CertificationRequires a clean Driver's License, Class B or C. Prefer candidates that meet requirements for DOT and 19A certification. Prefer CDL with P endorsement but will train to get CDL within 6 months of employment.Must obtain and maintain valid CPR/1st Aid certificationRoutes/runs are not permanent and will change as needed by the department
