Occupational TherapistWe're hiring a licensed Occupational Therapist for a full-time role in Alpena, MI supporting outpatient rehabilitation services with occasional float to acute care. Your skills will support patients on their journey to improved function and independence.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license required prior to start. Compact license does not apply.NBCOT certification (OTR) required.BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required within one month of hire.Outpatient occupational therapy experience preferred. More than 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates will be considered.Experience or willingness to float between outpatient and acute care settings.Demonstrated ability to perform assessments, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide treatment and patient/family education.Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. Strong verbal and written English communication skills required.Ability to supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, aides, and students per regulatory and affiliate standards.Must complete affiliate-specific orientation, new hire competency, and annual OSHA training per Exposure Control Plan.Ability to use personal protective equipment and to work where exposure to communicable diseases and bloodborne pathogens is possible.Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Medium physical demand level required.AOTA membership preferred.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate patient function using formal and informal measures across musculoskeletal, neurological, developmental, cognitive, respiratory, and cardiovascular domains.Develop, document, and implement goal-specific treatment plans and update plans of care as patient status changes.Provide interventions including exercise, modalities, adaptive equipment recommendations, and home education programs.Co-sign verbal orders from occupational therapy assistants as required and maintain documentation for billing and regulatory compliance.Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses, prognosis, treatment rationale, and home programs.Provide supervision to OTAs, home health aides, and students according to affiliate policy.Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, program development, process improvement, and community promotion of occupational therapy services.Perform other duties as assigned and demonstrate competency in required technology, including Microsoft Windows.ScheduleDays. MondayFriday, approximately 9:00 AM5:30 PM.Weekend rotation approximately one weekend per month.Position duration: 52 weeks.
