We have offices located in Hayden, Lewiston and Meridian, Idaho; Missoula, Montana; and Spokane and Tri-Cities, Washington.General ResponsibilitiesConstruction site field observationPerform sampling and field testing on construction materials such as concrete, soils, aggregates or asphalt in the field.Check compliance with plans and specificationsPrepare electronic daily field reports that summarize services provided, and calculation of test resultsCommunicate effectively with clients, contractors and engineering teamRequirementsAbility to use a computer and/or mobile device to complete daily field reportsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. alone, maneuver up to 75 lbs. with assistance and walk on uneven surfacesStrong attention to detailBasic math skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills and a client-service approachMust have a clean driving record and valid driver's licensePreferredMinimum one year of applicable experience in soils, asphalt, or concrete testing (We're willing to train someone with the right aptitude and willingness to learn.)WAQTC certified and/or ACI Field Testing Technician, Grade I or above preferredNuclear gauge safety training preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent; AA in Civil Engineering Technology preferredThis position requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and the ability to work more than 40 hours per week during peak summer months, with hours subject to seasonal fluctuations in the winter.ALLWEST BenefitsALLWEST is an employee-owned geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, construction materials testing, and special inspections firm serving our clients throughout the Pacific Northwest.Qualified Employees Have Access ToCompany paid medical, dental, and group life insuranceOptional vision, disability, accident, life insurance, FSA, HSAPaid-time off and paid holidays401(k) with up to 4% company matchALLWEST Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and E-Verify Employer.Salary Description$20-$26/hour
