Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) are individuals who have completed necessary training, credentialing, and licensure through their state and the BACB to perform skill acquisition and behavior reduction activities based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). BCBAs conduct on-going client assessment for skill acquisition and behavior reduction, create individualized programs for clients utilizing the principles of ABA therapy and evidence-based practice, and conduct intensive parent training curriculum for all clients on caseload to promote generalization of skills. BCBAs conduct a minimum of 20 billable hours per week. In addition, BCBAs supervise and mentor a team of 140 hours (full-time) of direct care staff for individualized growth within the field of applied behavior analysis.

Job Responsibilities
Conduct ongoing, age-appropriate and evidence-based skill assessments for designated clinic caseload (i.e., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS)
Conduct medically-necessary functional behavioral assessments for clinic caseload consisting of indirect interviews, direct observations across environments, data analysis, and functional analysis (with pre-authorization)
Complete necessary insurance documentation for initiation and continuation of client care for all client’s on caseload, including but not limited to authorization reports, functional behavior assessment reports, file reviews, etc.
Maintain client file organization in accordance with FREEDOM Therapies HIPAA compliance and documentation requirements
Develop behavior and skill programming based on evidence-based practices relevant to the client’s needs
Provide 1:1 or small group services for clients on caseload when necessary to ensure consistency of care
Conduct ongoing data analysis for efficacy of skill and behavior programming for all clients on caseload, including but not limited to data and graph analysis, quarterly report development, and goal monitoring with parent participation for generalization purposes
Implement data-driven decision making related to client programming and behavior reduction services
Conduct individual parent training sessions with all clients on clinic caseload at medically recommended level (e..g, starting at least 3 hours/month)
Conduct individual parent training sessions for two non-direct clients for a minimum of one hour per week through HIPAA compliant telehealth platform
Actively participate in requested collaboration of care meetings
Actively disseminate information related to client needs to designated collaboration partners on a client’s caseload to ensure generalization and sustainability of client programming
Mentor a team of up to 140 direct service hours for employees in pursuit of growth in the field of applied behavior analysis, including monthly employee performance reviews, development of individualized goals, implementation of personal intervention plans (when necessary), and organization of mentorship opportunities on the treatment team
Ongoing skill development and supervision for client leads, small group leaders, and case managers assisting in programming and client management on treatment team
Provide evidenced-based, goal-oriented, and data driven supervision for a minimum of 10% of client and supervisee hours per week, including but not limited to ongoing procedural integrity and inter-observer agreement data collection with implementing staff
Implement evidence-based skill training for treatment team a minimum of once per month that relates to skills necessary for adequate provision of services
Lead monthly client review meeting for treatment team a minimum of once per month for each client on caseload
Implement FREEDOM Therapies competency training and assessments for implementers, client leads, small group leaders, and case managers on treatment team
Create a treatment team atmosphere that upholds the values and mission of FREEDOM Therapies
Maintain personal credentialing and licensure requirements
Participate in monthly research review round tables with other FREEDOM Therapies BCBAs
Actively engage in community-based and company-based dissemination efforts related, but not limited to, advocacy for individuals with special needs, volunteer opportunities that do not present a dual relationship, and growth opportunities within FREEDOM Therapies
Develop and monitor progress on personalized goals related to skill development and service implementation for ABA services
Collaborate with all team members (i.e., RBTs, parents) of a client’s caseload to ensure sustainability and generalization of programming
Communicate with stakeholders using HIPAA compliant platforms on the physical needs of clients (i.e., pull ups, meals, clothing, materials for an activity)
Participate in individual meetings with senior BCBA related to individual performance, supervisory duties, key performance indicators, and client needs at least twice per month
Conduct individual and observational interviews with implementer and implementer in training candidates
Complete interview rating forms for client leaders, small group leaders, and case manager applicants
Assist with designated employee on-boarding components for direct care staff on treatment team
Implement monthly employee appreciation activities for treatment team
Uphold the ethical standards outlined by the BACB, BHCOE, and FREEDOM Therapies
Minimum Job Qualifications
Masters degree from an accredited university with a focus in Applied Behavior Analysis
Current BACB certification for Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Current Alabama state licensure for Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Completion of the BACB 8-hour supervisor training course
Availability Monday-Friday 7:30-5:30 PM
Ability to pass a national background check and drug screening
Reliable transportation to reach client service locations (i.e., home, school, clinic)
Ongoing Job Qualifications
Maintenance of good standing as a credential BCBA with the BACB and local licensure boards
Maintenance of HIPAA, Diversity, First Aid, and CPR certifications
Ability to pass randomized drug screenings
Participate in a minimum of two hours of continuing education opportunities related to caseload quarterly
Participate in a minimum of two hours of continuing education opportunities related to supervision quarterly
Obtaining and maintaining in-network status with FREEDOM Therapies designated insurance providers
Maintain a client service caseload of at least 160 hours per service week (i.e., direct services provided by implementers, parent trainings, assessments)
