Type of contract: employment contractSalary range: 11 700 - 18 750 PLN gross/mWhat will you do?We're looking for a PL/SQL Engineer to join a project for a client in the banking sector.You'll work in the credit risk area, focusing on a custom database model built on Oracle. The role involves writing SQL queries and PL/SQL procedures, data analysis, query optimization, and potentially performance tuning. In the near future, you'll also support the migration to GCP.Your tasksDesign, develop, and maintain Oracle database schemas and applicationsOptimize database performance and ensure data integrityDevelop and implement database solutions to support business needsCollaborate with application developers to integrate database solutionsPerform database tuning and troubleshootingManage and optimize containerized applications using OpenShiftBuild and deploy applications using standard build toolsImplement/Maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/GitHub Actions and Maven/GradleDesign and implement applications with a focus on observability and supportabilityPresent work effectively to both technical and non-technical audiencesYour skills3-4 years of hands-on experience in Data WarehousingExpertise in Oracle databases, including ExaCC and production-level experience with Oracle 19c (or other versions)Very good SQL and PL/SQL skills, with proficiency in complex analytics and bulk operations, including practical knowledge of partitioned tables and materialized viewsPerformance tuning - nice to haveExperienced in troubleshooting production database issues; confident collaborating with DBAs and constructively challenging recommendations when neededUnderstanding of the inner workings of the Oracle databasePractical experience with both OLTP and Data Warehouse platforms, with tailored approaches to design, coding, and tuningComfortable engaging with data modelers to review, critique, and evolve database designs based on new requirementsSkilled at analyzing complex legacy code and implementing streamlined, reusable solutionsVery good command of English (frequent communication with English-speaking customers)Nice to have* JavaWe offer youContract of employmentHybrid work in one of our locations: Lodz, Poznan, Krakow, Warszawa, Wroclaw (2 office days per week)Working in a highly experienced and dedicated teamBenefit package that can be tailored to your personal needs (private medical coverage, sport & recreation package, lunch subsidy, life insurance, etc.)On-line training and certifications fit for career pathAccess to e-learning platformMindgram - a holistic mental health and wellbeing platformWork From Anywhere (WFA) - the temporary option to work remotely outside of Poland for up to 140 days per year (including Italy, Spain, the UK, Germany, Portugal, and Bulgaria)Social eventsWe are GFT Poland.
