This person will have to be both highly technical from a product development / commercialization aspect; but also comfortable working with production and procurement to meet product delivery needs for a industry leading brand within our portfolio.This is a unique hybrid role that blends advanced formulation expertise, commercialization leadership, strategic customer engagement, operational planning, and financial acumen. The ideal candidate will operate as both a technical subject matter expert and a trusted account partner ensuring seamless product execution from concept through scale-up as well as product delivery post an order.This role requires scientific rigor, operational fluency, financial acumen, and strong executive presence.Duties & Responsibilities:Product Stewardship* Facilitate designated products through development from concept through post-launch.* Anticipate risks and mitigate escalation through proactive alignment.* Champion cross-functional communication between PD, Operations, QA, Packaging, and the Brand.Product Development Leadership* Lead technology transfer initiatives for complex greens and functional blend products.* Co-develop and refine prototypes to meet strict organoleptic, nutritional, and performance standards.* Establish reference standards and ensure translation from bench to production.* Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot formulation or process challenges.* Support change controls and deviations as product steward.Commercialization & Technical Execution* Partner with Operations to ensure seamless scale-up and manufacturability.* Develop and review blend instructions and process parameters.* Participate in first-time production runs and provide technical oversight as needed.* Support process capability improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.* Ensure documentation integrity in collaboration with Technical Documentation.Strategic Customer Engagement and Operational Planning* Serve as primary technical liaison for a major greens brand account.* Lead recurring technical calls to align on development progress, specifications, and commercialization readiness.* Lead open order calls with the customer.* Ensure that the jobs are placed correctly in the schedule working with production and ensuring the correctDocumentation & Compliance Oversight* Collaborate with Technical Documentation on:* Material specifications* BOM validation* Finished Product Specifications* SFP/NFP review* Ensure product concepts are supported by appropriate composition, allergen, and regulatory documentation.* Interface with Regulatory as needed to support claims substantiation and compliance.Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, or related scientific discipline (Advanced degree preferred).* 5+ years of experience in nutraceutical or food product development, preferably powder-based systems.* Demonstrated expertise in greens, botanical blends, or complex multi-ingredient formulations preferred.* Strong understanding of scale-up and blending dynamics.* Experience engaging with external customers, suppliers, and manufacturers.* Exceptional communication and presentation skills.* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.* Financial Acumen* Willingness to learn new things across multiple functions.Employment Eligibility VerificationMust possess valid documentation to establish identity and U.S. employment eligibility.Security RequirementsSubmission to, and ability to pass, a thorough pre-employment background check by Catalyst is a requirement of employment.Catalyst is an Equal Opportunity Employer
