Position Title: Shipper - ReceiverJob Code:SHPDepartment:Parts DepartmentDepartment #:0234Reports To:Parts Manager or Assistant Parts ManagerFLSA Status:Non-ExemptWe are seeking a Shipper/Receiver to help in our busy parts department$17-$20 an hourPOSITION SUMMARY The Shipper -Receiver acts as the principle person in charge of the receipt and shipment of the inventory as it is received from the manufacturer, suppliers or dealerships and sold to consumers.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESChecks in all stock orders upon receiptNotifies the parts manager of any parts that are received damaged or missing from any type of orderKeeps all parts shelves stocked using the space available in an efficient manner.Maintain receipts in all special-order partsMaintains a special-order file of arrived/receipted parts by customerNotifies appropriate managers and staff members of the receipt of special-order parts ordered through service, retail counter or wholesaleNotifies the parts manager of special-order parts receipted that have not been picked up or installed.Maintains a backorder fileAssists in picking up emergency orders and making deliveriesIf an outside delivery company is being used, ensure that all appropriate shipping requirements of that company and OSHA have been met.Maintains a safe, clean working environment and performs housekeeping duties as requested by the parts manager.Conduct yourself professionally while in the workplaceTreat each customer and co-worker with kindness and respectOther tasks as assignedREQUIREMENTS:Keeps current on new products and product updatesMaintains professional appearance and demeanor at all times, including work areasUniform must be worn when on the job.Complies with all Route 24 Auto Group attendance policiesReport to management any situation or condition that would jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its customers or employees.Must use company phones safely and in accordance with all traffic rules and regulations.Use company phones for business related purposes onlyAdheres to all department safety policies as required by management including but not limited to protective safety gearMeets a minimum lifting requirement of 10 lbs form the ground to head height. Maintains appropriate safe lifting practices.EDUCATION / SKILLS EXPERIENCEMust have excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate in person, over the phone and in writing as well as strong interpersonal and customer services skillsAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, juggle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment required.Participates in all training programs, including DOT and parts training, as appropriate.Must be detail oriented and well organized5+ years' experience in similar positionsCOMPUTER SKILLS:Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and OutlookCERTIFICATE/ LICENSE: N/APHYSICAL DEMANDS:HEAVY (requires lifting 100 lbs., with frequent carrying of up to 50 lbs.) • XXXSUPERVISOR: • Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager
