AWS Federated Cloud Platform Engineer

Overview In this contract role, you will support enterprise application and platform deployments in a governed AWS Federated environment. You’ll partner with development, platform engineering, security, and offshore teams to drive scalable cloud solutions. You will build IaC, support CI/CD, and help ensure deployment readiness for large-scale financial services workloads. The role emphasizes automation, governance, and cross-functional collaboration to reduce manual toil. This is a remote, EST-aligned opportunity to shape a secure, enterprise cloud platform. ResponsibilitiesSupport application and infrastructure deployments in AWSBuild and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using TerraformSupport CI/CD pipelines and release automationTroubleshoot deployment, environment, and infrastructure issuesPartner with development, platform engineering, security, and offshore teamsSupport enterprise release processes and deployment controlsImprove automation and reduce manual operational effortAssist with cloud platform support, monitoring, and operational readiness Key requirementsStrong hands-on AWS experience specifically with AWS FederatedExperience in deploying applications within AWS FederatedTerraform/Infrastructure-as-Code expertiseCI/CD experience (Jenkins, Harness, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or similar)Experience supporting application deployments in enterprise environmentsExperience working closely with development teams rather than pure operations teamsExperience supporting enterprise cloud transformationsFinancial services or regulated industry experienceContainer experience (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS)Knowledge of IAM, networking, security groups, compute, storage, and cloud infrastructureStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsMonitoring/Observability tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana)Java or Python exposureAbility to troubleshoot deployment and pipeline issuesStrong communicationStakeholder managementCollaboration across teamsAWS FederatedTerraformCI/CD tools (Jenkins, Harness, GitLab, GitHub Actions)
