Pool Server Part TimeThe Lodge at Ventana Canyon - Tucson, AZ 85750OverviewJob Shift Any Travel Percentage None Category Customer ServiceDescriptionThe pool server provides food and beverage service to guests in pool areas, focusing on fast, friendly, and efficient service. Key duties include taking orders, serving items, maintaining cleanliness in seating areas, handling payments, and ensuring compliance with safety and alcohol regulations, often while managing high-volume, outdoor environments.Duties/Responsibilities:Greeting guests promptly, take food and beverage orders, and suggest menu items.Deliver food and beverages, adhere to liquor liability laws and verify guest ages.Monitor pool areas for safety, follow proper food handling procedures, and check IDs to comply with alcohol awareness regulations.Maintain cleanliness of the pool area, including skimming the top of the pool, clearing the deck of debris, tidying restrooms, and surrounding areas.Assist with the setup, distribution and collection of pool equipment like loungers, umbrellas, towels, balls, and pool games, etc.Responsible for collecting and washing used towels.Monitor the pool area to prevent accidents and ensure adherence to safety protocols.Providing customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive guest experience.Performing water quality checks, by ensuring appropriate chemical levels and addressing any imbalances.Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.Assist with other pool tasks as needed.QualificationsSkills/ Abilities:Friendly and helpful, able to communicate effectively with guests.Attention to detail, careful in observing the pool area and its users.Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.Education/Experience:One to two years of server experience in a hotel or resort setting, preferred.Food handler and Alcohol training certificate are preferred.CPR certification preferred.Must be able to pass a background check.Must be at least 18 years of agePhysical Requirements:Must be able to physically reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.Stand/walk for long periods of timeMust be able to work under variable temperature conditions (extreme heat or cold, indoors/outdoors).Ventana Canyon is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
