The hourly pay range for this position is $20.89 per hour-$20.89 per hour.Work Hours The work hours for this position are Mon-Fri, 8:00 am - 5:00 pmKey PurposeThe Cleaning Supervisor assists the Janitorial Manager in the completion of their managerial duties and directly oversees custodians on three shifts in a manufacturing environment. Participate in management team meetings Ideal Candidate ExperienceMust have (5) five years of experience in a janitorial position with a Facilities Maintenance/Janitorial Services firmMust have at least (1) year previous supervisory experience Must be able to provide “hands on” oversight and direction to custodial team of up to 5 members per shift Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking EnglishMust be able to clear/satisfy all background checks and other security requirements for obtaining clearance to the facility at which work is to be performedMust possess a valid driver’s license Must be able to communicate effectively with subordinates, customer representatives and upper managementMust be proficient at performing administrative tasks associated with the direction of the above referenced workforce, scheduling, and completion of work to be performedMust be able to demonstrate good judgment and the ability to conduct oneself in a professional mannerPrevious experience in a union environment preferredMust be available to work weekends and holidays if needed Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred) Key AccountabilitiesProvides direction and oversight of union custodial workforce at assigned siteSchedules employees and work to be performed according to site needsFollow all safety rules and guidelinesDirect special cleaning projectsCommunicate with tenant/customers in a professional mannerContinually inspect quality levels and retrain staff as needed to maintain quality of service for customerInventory supplies/materials on hand as directed by Janitorial ManagerReview and ensure accurate time keeping records of all employees and process payroll for employees Disciplines employees in partnership with the Janitorial ManagerOther duties as assignedEnsures completion of janitorial work and all administrative tasks associated with the performance of the work including but not limited to progress reports, incident reports, safety reports, staffing reports, time sheet/payroll reports etc.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentFrequent exposure to moving mechanical partsExposure to high, precarious placesExposure to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals Outside weather conditionsRisk of electrical shock and vibration.
