As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Create innovative technology solutions to support the Client Onboarding and KYC business. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software and new product capabilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver outcomes aligned to business needsCommunicate development progress, risks, and dependencies to the team and key stakeholdersApply Agile practices to support iterative delivery and continuous improvementImplement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support reliable builds and deploymentsUse sound object-oriented design and common design patterns to create scalable solutionsProduce clear technical documentation and support knowledge sharing across the teamContribute to code quality through reviews, testing practices, and defect resolutionWork with global technologists to share ideas, improve solutions, and drive innovationDrive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes while establishing consistent validation standards and promoting reuse of effective patternsApply SDLC toolchain knowledge, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value realized through automationRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and SkillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceProficiency in Java development with J2EE server technologies (Web Services, Spring, ORM frameworks, XML, Enterprise Java Beans, JMS)Working knowledge of CI/CD and build tooling (such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Maven)Working knowledge of design patterns, UML, and object-oriented conceptsWorking knowledge of relational databases and SQLWorking knowledge of source control management tools (Bitbucket or equivalent)Working knowledge of UI technologies including HTML5 and JavaScriptDemonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) and setting team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and securityStrong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption within delivery practicesAbility to collaborate within a team and build effective working relationshipsAbility to organize work, manage priorities, and deliver to tight deadlinesPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and SkillsWorking knowledge of Angular or ReactWorking knowledge of AWS or equivalent cloud technologiesAbout UsJPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
