Biology Lab Assistant (Student)

POSITION SUMMARY: Prepare reagents and supplies for biology lab courses and enforce student life policies in the science building.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare reagents and supplies for biology laboratory courses and set up/tear down labsAssist students with gathering supplies for experiments as neededMaintain a clean and safe laboratory environmentMaintain an inventory of supplies and reagents and request orders as neededMonitor the activities of the science building and enforce student life policies on nights and weekendsOther duties as assignedREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones UniversityCurrently enrolled as a student in the Biology, Premed/pre-dent, or Biochemistry and Molecular Biology programsStudents in other Natural Sciences or Science Education programs consideredAbility to diligently and accurately execute basic laboratory techniquesClearly demonstrate leadership and/or collaborative skillsEqual Opportunity Employer
