Freight Coordinator

Ensure all Shipping documents are received and distributed to the CSR team. Verify all freight invoices and ensure that quotes are attached to invoices. Ensure all Pick List and third party BOL's are distributed to Shipping Coordinator and Shift Leads in a timely manner. Set up booking for all LTL and FTL Shipments. Maintain Master Shipping Log and required weekly and monthly reports. Negotiate freight rates.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the arrangement of trucks and scheduling of pick up times.Implement any special instruction from CSR's or customersWill present a shipping report in person in the shipping meeting each morning.Facilitate cross training across all Shift Leads and Shipping Coordinator.Regular interaction with Shift Leads on any freight and/or shipment issues.Provide BOL's from third parties and Pick List to Logistics to load trucksComplete weekly and monthly reportsRequirementsHave the knowledge and ability to perform all job functions.Working knowledge of Outlook email, Microsoft office products.Basic excel skillsAbility to work with outside venders and negotiateExcellent oral and verbal communication skillsCompetenciesTechnical ExpertiseFreight/shipping knowledgeComputer skills (office, email, internal system)BehavioralSafety OrientationAbility to work as a team memberSelf-motivationAbility to communicate with all levels of organizationIdeal Incumbent profileEducation: High School Diploma or GEDIndustry Experience: 3-5 years in warehousing and/or logisticsEqual Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
