Project Manager (Multi-Family)

Amtec Staffing has partnered with a leading General Contractor specializing in Multi-Family projects throughout Southern California to identify an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team in Newport Beach, CA.This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established builder with a strong pipeline of high-profile apartment renovation projects, known for delivering high-quality renovations, tenant improvement upgrades, and value-add construction solutions across the Orange County market.Project Types:Multi-Family Renovations • Occupied Apartment Renovations • Interior & Exterior Repositioning • Capital Improvement Projects • Tenant Improvement Upgrades • Ground-Up Multi-Family ConstructionResponsibilities:Manage all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.Oversee project budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, procurement, and client communication.Lead and coordinate renovation activities on occupied apartment communities while minimizing disruption to residents.Work closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, ownership groups, architects, and consultants to ensure successful project execution.Review plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders throughout the life of the project.Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve scheduling, budgetary, or constructability issues.Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, forecasting, and cost tracking using project management software.Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company standards, local building codes, and safety regulations.Participate in owner meetings and provide regular updates regarding project milestones, financials, and timelines.Assist in mentoring Project Engineers and junior staff members as the team continues to grow.Requirements:5+ years of Project Management experience with Multi-Family construction and/or renovation projects.Renovation and/or Ground-Up/New Construction experience preferred on projects up to $30M in value.Strong experience managing occupied renovation projects preferred.Background with apartment repositioning, exterior renovations, unit turns, amenity upgrades, or capital improvement projects highly desired.Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships simultaneously.Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, contracts, and change order management.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar construction management software preferred.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Authorization to work in the U.S.Why Join:If you’re a Project Manager with a passion for delivering high-quality Multi-Family renovation projects, this is an opportunity to join a respected General Contractor with long-term stability, a strong backlog of work, and continued growth throughout the Southern California market.
