Windows Server Administrator

Role Overview: A Windows Server Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022), monitoring performance, and optimizing resources.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging Microsoft Active Directory, including domain controllers, user/group management, DNS, DHCP, and GPO deployment.Administering virtualized environments using VMware vSphere/ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V for scalable infrastructure.Implementing automated patching, updates, and OS deployments via MECM/SCCM and WSUS.Hardening servers according to DISA STIGs and remediating vulnerabilities identified by ACAS/Nessus scans.Maintaining enterprise backup solutions, ensuring data integrity, and participating in Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations planning.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience in Information Systems Security or 8 years of experience without a degree.Experience with security accreditation processes, ICD 503 standards, and creating accreditation evidence.Proven ability to meet security requirements, collaborate with large teams, and manage complex network documentation.Strong technical, network, and security documentation skills.Preferred: CISSP certification and experience with cyber risk and compliance tools.Additional RequirementsActive TS/SCI security clearance.Ability to perform occasional manual labor, lift up to 50 pounds, and remain stationary for periods.
