Position Title: ITSM Configuration Management II - ServiceNow (Remote)Location: Richmond, VAClearance Requirements: NAPosition Status: Full TimePosition DescriptionJoin a dynamic IT Service Management team as an ITSM Configuration Management II, focusing on ServiceNow platform. This role plays a critical part in governing and enhancing ITIL-based Configuration Management processes, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the CMDB and CSDM frameworks. You will lead efforts in process analysis, design, implementation, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement, supporting enterprise-wide IT service delivery, strategic decision-making, and data integrity.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine, manage, and govern the Configuration Management System (CMS), CMDB, and CSDM within ServiceNow.Develop and maintain ITIL Configuration Management lifecycle processes.Oversee the design, build, testing, training, and documentation related to Configuration Management policies.Support audits, compliance, and quality initiatives for ITSM processes.Manage ongoing CMDB updates, data quality, and backlog prioritization.Lead medium-sized projects for new or improved configuration management services.Mentor teams on configuration best practices and process adherence.Create dashboards and reports to analyze trends, track process performance, and inform improvements.Drive continual service improvement initiatives with a strong focus on data accuracy and process efficiency.Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organization.Required Skills And QualificationsAssociates degree in IT, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.3+ years of experience in ITSM, ITIL-based Configuration Management, and managing CMDB/CM professionals.Hands-on experience working with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.Deep understanding of CMDB data models, CIs, service relationships, and ITIL lifecycle processes.Proven ability to develop dashboards, reports, and analyze metrics.Strong knowledge of ServiceNow modules such as CSDM, Discovery, Service Mapping, and IT Asset Management.Certifications: ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation (or higher); ServiceNow certifications related to CMDB/Asset Management are a plus.Experience working in large enterprise IT environments, preferably in healthcare IT.Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, or ITSM delivery methodologies.Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in IT or related field.Additional certifications in ServiceNow or Configuration Management.Experience with tools like SCCM, SCOM, Okta, Epic, or Workday.Over 4 years of relevant experience highly preferred.About Seneca ResourcesAt Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm; we are your trusted career partner.
