Interim CFO

We are seeking an Interim CFO for a private equity-backed, middle-market commercial services company (>$100M in revenue) located near Irwindale, CAThis is a hands-on, operational role suited for a finance leader who can operate both strategically and tactically. The company is at an inflection point, requiring strong financial leadership to assist with stabilizing performance, executing cost reduction initiatives, and helping to reposition the business for renewed growth.The CFO will serve as a key partner to the CEO and investors, helping drive accountability, visibility, and improved decision-making across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all aspects of finance and accounting, including financial reporting, FP&A, treasury, and controlsProvide clear, timely, and actionable financial insights to support executive decision-makingOversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management with a focus on accuracy and accountabilityEnsure integrity of financial reporting and compliance with GAAP and lender requirementsTurnaround & Performance ImprovementPartner with the CEO and private equity sponsors to execute cost optimization and margin improvement initiativesDevelop and implement KPIs and performance metrics across business unitsIdentify operational inefficiencies and drive corrective actionsSupport revenue stabilization efforts through pricing analysis, customer profitability, and contract reviewCash Flow & Liquidity ManagementDrive disciplined cash management, including forecasting, working capital optimization, and liquidity planningManage banking relationships and ensure compliance with debt covenantsImprove collections processes and overall cash conversionLead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting teamAssess current team capabilities and upgrade talent as neededEvaluate and improve financial systems, reporting tools, and processesBuild scalable infrastructure to support future growthDesired Qualifications15+ years of progressive finance experience, including prior CFO/Head of Finance role in a middle market companyExperience in a private equity-backed or highly performance-driven environmentBackground in commercial services, field services, or multi-site operationsProven track record of driving cost reduction, margin improvement, and operational disciplineStrong command of financial planning, cash flow management, and KPI-driven performance managementHands-on leadership style with the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levelsCPA or MBAExperience in turnaround, restructuring, or performance improvement situationsJ-18808-Ljbffr
