Typical task breakdown:Work alongside development engineers to test software releases of a new product. This includes driving passenger vehicles for real world testing and documenting results.You will also work with third party vendors on requirements and performance feedback.Team StructureWorks in Autonomy Connectivity/Systems Engineering.Works with software, remote control (RC), machine electronics, and V&V teams.Coordinates with suppliers and field test teams.Work environment: Mix of lab, pickup truck, and on machine testing. - Hands on debugging with Linux/network tools.10–20% travel to proving grounds and machine sites.- Education & Experience Required: Years of experience: 5-7 yearsDegree requirement: Bachelor’s in EE, CE, CS, Network/Systems Engineering.Do you accept internships as job experience: Yes, if related to connectivity, networking, or embedded systems.Are there past or additional job titles or roles that would provide comparable background to this role: Network/Connectivity Engineer, Systems Integration Engineer, Embedded Test Engineer, V&V Engineer, Field Test Engineer.Top 3 SkillsNetworking & connectivity design (LTE/5G, routing, bonded cellular).Systems integration & troubleshooting.Test strategy and execution for embedded/edge systems.Additional Technical Skills (Required)IP networking fundamentals.LTE/5G and/or bonded cellular experience.Linux config/debug.Wireshark, iperf, tcpdump, etc.Test plan creation/execution.Requirements tools (Jama/Doors).(Desired) V2X or remote control system experience.Python/Bash automation.Embedded gateways (Cradlepoint/Peplink/Sierra/etc.).Network redundancy/failover.RF/antenna basics.Safety critical or autonomy exposure.
