We are currently seeking a Database Administrator - Oracle to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).Job Description: Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) – Intermediate LevelProject: – Project SunshineLocation: Onshore (U.S.-based)Employment Type: Contract / Project-Based (Onsite/Hybrid)Role OverviewWe are seeking an Intermediate-Level Oracle DBA to support the Project Sunshine initiative, a strategic data and analytics transformation program. The Oracle DBA will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, performance, and security of Oracle database environments supporting critical healthcare workloads. Key ResponsibilitiesManage and administer Oracle database environments across development, test, and productionPerform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenanceDevelop and maintain backup, recovery, and failover strategies to ensure business continuityProvide logical and physical database administration support including storage and structure managementMonitor and optimize database performance and capacityPerform SQL tuning, indexing, and performance optimizationProvide L2/L3 production support including incident, problem, and change managementTroubleshoot database and system-level issues and coordinate with vendors as neededImplement database security, user access controls, and auditingEnsure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAACollaborate with data engineering, application, and infrastructure teamsSupport data integration, migration, and modernization initiativesRequiredQualifications3–6 years of experience as a Database Administrator with strong Oracle experienceExperience with Oracle 11g/12c/19c or newerStrong SQL and PL/SQL skills with performance tuning expertiseExperience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data GuardExperience with RMAN backup and recoveryFamiliarity with Unix/Linux environmentsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsPreferredQualificationsExperience with Oracle Cloud, Azure, or AWS environmentsExposure to data modernization or migration programsExperience with ETL tools such as Informatica or DataStageHealthcare industry experienceKey Success MetricsHigh database availability and SLA adherenceImproved system performance and scalabilityReduced incident resolution timesSuccessful support of Project Sunshine milestonesAbout NTT DATANTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
