CNC Operator
This role is 100% onsite, no possibility for remote or hybrid work*MMI Engineered Solutions is currently seeking a CNC Operator to support our tooling and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machining equipment used to manufacture and repair injection mold tooling and components. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of machining processes, quality standards, and safety procedures.Hours: Monday-Friday 6:45am-3:15pm Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC machines to cut, shape, and drill metal, plastic, and composite materialsManufacture mold tooling and components using CAD drawings and engineering specificationsLoad machining programs into CNC equipment using computers and/or USB devicesModify and edit machining programs as needed to improve production efficiencyPerform insert changes, cutting tool changes, and machine adjustments during operationConduct in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gages, indicators, gage blocks, and gage pinsVerify parts meet quality and dimensional specificationsPerform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot machining issues as neededComplete emergency repairs of tooling to support production demandsAssist with fabrication or modification of components for other departments when requiredCross-train and support multiple work centers or machining operations as neededOperate material handling equipment including cranes, hoists, and forklifts when necessaryMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentFollow all company safety policies and procedures and wear required PPE at all timesCommunicate quality or safety concerns immediately and stop production when necessaryPerform other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsMinimum 1 year of experience operating CNC machines or programmable metal-cutting equipment in a manufacturing environmentExperience working with mold tooling or injection molding environments preferredBasic knowledge of CAM software and CNC programmingAbility to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and written work instructionsExperience using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and bore gagesStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilityAbility to work overtime as needed to support production schedulesStrong teamwork and communication skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, and standing for extended periodsWork EnvironmentManufacturing and tooling environment supporting injection molding operationsExposure to machinery, moderate noise, temperature changes, chemicals, and solventsRegular use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures requiredHands-on role requiring operation around industrial machinery and material handling equipmentWhy Work at MMI?A rich Benefits Package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Long and Short-Term Disability (company paid), a robust Wellness Program, tuition reimbursement, and a 401(k) Retirement Plan with matching.Paid Time OffUp to Ten (10) Paid Holidays (including one Diversity Holiday and Wellness Day)Opportunities for growth and job training,for energetic, career-minded individualsLocated in Saline, MI just minutes away from Plant Fitness, Emagine Saline, Briarwood Mall and hundreds of local businesses.Who We AreMMI is a plastic injection molding and engineering solutions provider headquartered in Saline, Michigan, with offices in Troy, Warren, and Monterrey, Mexico.
