Pediatric Behavior Health Fellow - Primary Children's Hospital

About this role: This is an exciting opportunity for two PMHNPs to join us in a unique full time, benefits eligible learning position. This will be a one-year commitment, with potential for continued employment thereafter. You will be a part of our team of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals committed to providing quality pediatric behavioral healthcare in our newly built Primary Children's Behavioral Health Center in Taylorsville, Utah. The center provides inpatient care, intensive outpatient services, partial hospitalization services, outpatient care and the first walk-in crisis assessment center for youth in the state of Utah. Intermountain Primary Children's Hospital is ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation's best children's hospitals in 11 of 11 pediatric specialties, including behavioral health. If desired, you may also send documents directly to deanna.grange@imail.org Job Essentials Clinical Practice: 80% Perform patient assessment to obtain a complete and accurate record of the patient's clinical information and medical symptoms. Order tests and exams to obtain additional information needed to ensure proper and complete care of patient. Based on assessment, diagnose patient needs and determine a plan of care. Interpret patient care tests and exams to obtain needed information to guide care. Provide for the treatment of the patient (and oversee the treatment provided by others) including appropriate prescriptive practice to achieve optimal clinical outcomes for the patient. Utilize advanced specialty knowledge to ensure that the care provided is appropriate, effective, timely, and cost efficient. Perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures as defined by Scope of Practice. Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care. Code and bill accurately per established protocol and procedure. Ensure that records are detailed and complete, and comply with related standards and regulations. Fellows will participate in 12-16 week clinical rotations across the continuum of care in the Pediatric Behavioral Health Service Line. Out patient continuity clinic weekly and rotations in in-patient, partial hospitalization, day treatment and specialty areas over the course of a year. Education: 20% Conduct and/or coordinate education to increase the knowledge of patient, patient family, and others. Providing appropriate instruction based on patient needs to support the continuum of care. Participate in Didactic Learning Activities, Supervision, QI & Other Projects Weekly Individual Supervision Weekly Group Supervision - Complex Case Consults Weekly Didactic Content Monthly Lunch and Learn Assigned Learning Opportunities - Intermountain, ECHO, Department of Pediatrics, Grand Rounds, etc. Qualifications Applicants selected for employment in the program must Have graduated from an accredited Master's PMHNP or DNP program within the past 18 months APRN and Controlled Substance License in the state of Utah PMHNP certification through the ANCC Federal DEA Certificate II through V Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification Please Note: One need not be fully licensed or to have completed certification exam at the time of application; however, selected applicants must obtain all licenses before the start of the program. Our Fellows will enjoy 25 days of paid time off for personal and holiday use $3,500 towards Continuing Medical Education and up to five days of paid time to attend CME Full Intermountain benefits from day one, including health, dental, life insurance, and more.
