Exercise Specialist I - Industrial Rehab

Job Requirements Position SummaryThe Industrial Rehab Exercise Specialist I is responsible for scheduling and performance of all Essential Function Testing (EFT) for both SRHS and all Corporate Health clients. He/she is also responsible for development & validation of all Functional Job Analysis (FJA) for assigned sites. Additionally, he/she will support the Industrial Rehab Director and EFT Team Lead in EFT and FJA development, validation, and implementation for both SRHS initiatives and all Corporate Health clients. He/she will assist Industrial Rehab Manager and Team Lead in delivery of Ergonomic services to SRHS by completing assigned office-based ergonomic request for the SRHS system including assessment and report out. He/she sill support Industrial Rehab Manager and EFT Team Lead in meeting PHTS object handling benchmarks for the SRHS system. He/she will support Industrial Rehab Manager in selection and approval of office workstation based furnishing options. He/she will assist Physical Therapist with patient care services within the scope allowed by their degree and state law. He/she will facilitate the administrative activities related to programs. He/she must participate in the marketing of Industrial Rehabilitation Programming and promote a healthy lifestyle. He/she must perform services in accordance with departmental needs and training. Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor, manager or director. Minimum Requirements EducationBachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or Physical Education with emphasis on Health and Wellness ExperienceExcellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and with a team Strong computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word License/Registration/Certifications BLS Preferred RequirementsPreferred EducationMaster's Level Preferred ExperiencePrevious Industrial Rehab or Physical Therapy clinic experience Preferred License/Registration/Certifications CEAS, WorkWell or comparable certifications Core Job ResponsibilitiesAdheres to all Standards of Behavior Support EFTs for both SRHS and all Corporate Health clients Support development and validation of all Functional Job Analysis (FJA) for all SRHS sites Support object handling injury reduction strategies Support object handling SREOs initiatives and action items Support object handling programs to meet PHTS annual objectives Support Industrial Rehab Manager and EFT Team Lead in all EFT and FJA development, validation, and implementation for SRHS Corporate Health clients Perform evaluation, instruction, safety, and medical supervision of exercise within employer Onboarding and Wellbeing programs Develop exercise programs, instruct associates/patients and provides supervision to within compliance of ACSM guidelines and with consideration of functional impairments of each associate/patient Monitor and shift resources to meet changing needs and priorities to ensure that high quality care is provided, and customer expectations are met Maintain necessary electronic records as it pertains to FJA validations and data collection Maintain necessary electronic records as it pertains to EFT validations and failure analysis Support EFT Team Lead in provision of EFT failure analysis reports to all EFT clients annually Monitors and shifts resources to meet changing needs and priorities to ensure that high quality care is provided Guides and develops wellness programs to meet the needs of the community Demonstrates proficiency in the use of WorkWell to provide Industrial Rehab services Demonstrates ability to check and monitor BP/HR to ensure safety during testing Attends departmental and hospital committees and meetings Educate SRHS staff on benefits of ergonomics during both proactive and reactive service opportunities Performs ergonomic assessments for SRHS to support department and Employee Health needs Engage supply vendors for furniture and ergonomic equipment needs Purchase equipment to support Industrial Rehab and Injury Prevention needs Supports Manager with facility projects to implement ergonomic design guidelines for upfit and new construction Supports EFT Team Lead in performing job hazard analyses and accident investigations for high-risk areas in the hospital Facilitate patient surveys, associated data capture, and departmental reporting Completes other duties as assigned
