IBM MQ Exit Developer – C ProgrammingExperience: 10+ YearsPrimary Skill: IBM WebSphere MQ / IBM MQRole: MQ Exit Developer / C DeveloperJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled IBM MQ Exit Developer with strong C programming expertise to maintain, enhance, and modernize custom IBM MQ exits within enterprise messaging environments.The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of IBM MQ internals, MQ exits, and low-level C development, with experience building secure, thread-safe, and high-performance solutions across distributed and hybrid environments.Key ResponsibilitiesMQ Exit Development & MaintenanceDevelop, maintain, and troubleshoot IBM MQ channel exits, API exits, and message exits using C.Ensure MQ exit implementations are thread-safe, reliable, and performance optimized.Integrate MQ exit logic with external systems such as LDAP and REST APIs.Analyze and resolve complex MQ exit issues and provide L3 production support.Modernization & MigrationEvaluate existing custom exits and identify opportunities to replace them with native IBM MQ capabilities.Simplify, refactor, and modernize legacy MQ exit implementations.Support IBM MQ migration and modernization initiatives.Documentation & GovernanceMaintain technical design documents, coding standards, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.Manage exit-code lifecycle including version control, deployment, rollback, and release management.Ensure solutions follow enterprise security, operational, and development standards.Required Skills10+ years of IBM WebSphere MQ / IBM MQ experience.Strong hands-on experience developing MQ exits using C.Expertise in:Channel ExitsSecurity ExitsAPI ExitsMessage ExitsStrong knowledge of IBM MQ architecture and internals.Advanced C programming and low-level systems development experience.Experience with multi-threaded / thread-safe programming.Experience integrating MQ with LDAP, REST APIs, and external enterprise systems.Strong troubleshooting and L3 production support capabilities.Experience modernizing legacy MQ exits and leveraging native MQ functionality.Strong documentation, version control, deployment, and rollback practices.Key Focus: IBM MQ | WebSphere MQ | MQ Exits | C Programming | Channel Exits | Security Exits | API Exits | Message Exits | MQ Internals | Multithreading | L3 Support
