The Large Loss Mitigation Supervisor is responsible for leading field crews on large-scale restoration and mitigation projects. This position focuses on supervising technicians, executing mitigation plans in the field, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards. The role operates similarly to a Crew Chief but with a greater emphasis on team supervision and project execution rather than technical documentation systems. The Supervisor will manage a crew of approximately 810 technicians and work under the direction of a Project Manager (PM) or Assistant Project Manager (APM), depending on the size and complexity of the job.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and manage a mitigation crew of 810 technicians on large loss projects.
Provide clear direction and oversight to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Maintain productivity, accountability, and professionalism among crew members.
Take direction from the APM or PM and help execute the project scope.
Assist with mitigation activities including demolition, drying setup, containment, cleaning, and debris removal.
Ensure restoration work is performed according to industry best practices and company procedures.
Maintain a working knowledge of restoration and mitigation practices, including water, fire, and storm damage response.
Clearly communicate job expectations, procedures, and safety requirements to technicians.
Complete and submit daily jobsite paperwork, including crew logs and job progress reports.
Communicate updates, issues, or changes in scope to the PM or APM.
When large loss activity is reduced, assist with day-to-day mitigation operations as needed.
Remain available to be mobilized quickly to large loss projects when required.
QualificationsPrevious experience in restoration/mitigation preferred.
Ability to supervise and motivate a team in a fast-paced field environment.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
Ability to work extended hours or travel when large loss events occur.
Ability to travel on short notice.
Ability to drive a company vehicle.
CompensationHourly position (rate based on experience).
Opportunities for overtime during large loss deployments.
Skills/Physical Demands/CompetenciesAbility to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
Ability to work with/around cleaning agents
Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
