Penn State Health Medical Group Location: US:PA:Wyomissing Work Type: Full Time FTE: 1.0 Shift: DaysHours: 8:30a - 5:00p JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing the daily work of the Receptionists, File Clerks and Transcriptionists to ensure the smooth efficient operation of the office. The Medical Office Supervisor is to ensure that patient appointments, concerns and questions are dealt with in a timely, courteous manner. This person is responsible to see that patient bills and insurance claims done in the office are mailed in a timely manner. The Medical Office Supervisor is to maintain clear communication between the Front Desk and the Providers regarding changes to the appointment schedule. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredTwo (2) Years Of Medical Office Experience RequiredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:Ability to speak, read, write and understand the English languageAbility to lift 25 poundsOccasional kneeling, pushing/pulling and reachingAbility to operate a personal computer and general office equipmentAbility to deal courteously with patientsAbility to maintain effective working relationship with other employeesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Associate's Degree preferredPrior Supervisory Experience In a Medical Office PreferredThis job description is a general outline of duties performed and is not to be misconstrued as encompassing all duties performed within the position.
