A well‑funded robotics software company is developing a next‑generation platform used to design, validate, and optimize complex industrial automation systems before they are deployed on the factory floor. The technology is used to test multi‑robot workcells, motion planning behavior, and system performance in simulation, helping customers reduce risk, cost, and engineering time in industrial automation projects. The company is hiring aRobotics Validation Engineerto help ensure the quality, reliability, and robustness of a sophisticated robotics software platform. This role is ideal for someone who sits comfortably between robotics, software engineering, and testing, and enjoys validating complex systems rather than simple applications. The Role You’ll be embedded within a robotics product team, working closely with robotics engineers and software developers to design and execute simulation‑driven validation strategies. The focus is on validating real‑world automation workflows rather than isolated features, thinking in terms of systems, edge cases, and failure modes. Your responsibilities will include: Validating complex robotics workflows using simulation environments Designing and developing automated validation frameworks with a strong emphasis on scalability and maintainability Building end‑to‑end validation scenarios that reflect real customer use cases (e.g. multi‑robot coordination, task sequencing, and optimization) Developing regression, integration, and performance validation across releases Analyzing system behavior in simulation to identify defects, edge cases, and performance limits Working closely with engineering teams to reproduce issues and drive resolution Contributing validation stages into CI/CD pipelines Supporting internal teams when diagnosing issues in complex or atypical environments Helping define validation standards and best practices within a growing engineering organization Background & Experience: MS in Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar; or BS with equivalent hands‑on experience 2+ years of experience in software testing, validation, or development Experience building automated tests or validation systems (Python or similar) Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals (version control, testing methodologies) Familiarity with robotics concepts such as kinematics, motion planning, or path planning Experience validating complex or simulation‑based systems Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Nice to have: Experience with robot or manufacturing simulation tools Exposure to industrial robotics or factory automation environments Experience testing C++‑based systems CI/CD experience in a Linux‑based environment Interest in large‑scale or distributed validation systems
