Sr. Sourcing Specialist

Our client is undertaking a large-scale, multi-phase development project in downtown Salt Lake City. This transformative project will span approximately one million square feet and support thousands of employees, making it one of the most impactful construction initiatives in the region. To support this effort, our client is seeking a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist with a strong background in construction-related procurement.This role will play a critical part in ensuring the success of the project by identifying high-quality vendors, negotiating favorable contracts, and driving cost efficiencies across the supply chain.What You’ll Be Responsible ForYou’ll serve as a key partner in managing sourcing strategies tied directly to a high-visibility construction project. Your ability to balance cost, quality, and timelines will be essential.Lead sourcing initiatives for construction-related vendors, materials, and servicesConduct supplier research and evaluation based on cost, capability, and reliabilityManage RFQ/RFP processes, including bid analysis and vendor selectionNegotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements to maximize valuePerform spend analysis and total cost of ownership evaluations to identify savings opportunitiesBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure performance and delivery standardsPartner with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with project goals and timelinesMonitor supplier performance and contract compliance throughout the project lifecycleProjects You’ll Work OnA multi-phase, million-square-foot headquarters development in a major metropolitan areaStrategic sourcing initiatives tied to large-scale construction and infrastructure needsVendor selection and contract negotiations for critical building materials and servicesCross-functional collaboration with project managers, finance, and operations teamsWhat Experience You Should Bring3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain rolesDirect experience sourcing within construction, infrastructure, or capital projects (required)Experience working with AIA (American Institute of Architects) contract documents (highly preferred)Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related fieldStrong negotiation and contract management experienceProficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as SAP or similar toolsDemonstrated ability to analyze data and identify cost-saving opportunitiesExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skillsProfessional certifications (e.g., CPSM) are a plusWhy This Opportunity Stands OutBe part of a landmark development project with long-term impactOpportunity to transition from contract to a permanent roleHigh visibility position with meaningful influence on project successCollaborative environment working alongside experienced project and procurement teams
