We speak honestly, act transparently and honor our commitments.We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing real estate development, property management, and hospitality organization. This role is responsible for overseeing accounting operations across a diverse portfolio that includes commercial and residential properties, development projects, and hospitality assets such as event venues, hotels, and food and beverage establishments.Key Responsibilities:GeneralPrepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities and business unitsPerform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysisReconcile bank accounts, credit cards, general ledger accounts, fixed assets, and intercompany transactionsMaintain accurate accounting records in accordance with GAAPProperty ManagementReview and analyze property operating statements, budgets, and forecastsMonitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, tenant billings, CAM reconciliations, and rent rollsAssist with lease administration accounting and tenant security deposit reconciliationsPartner with property management teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and expense managementDevelopmentCoordinate draw requests and supporting documentationTrack development project costs and construction drawsHospitalitySupport accounting operations for hospitality entities including event venues and food and beverage establishments.Review cash reconciliations, and revenue postingsMonitor labor reporting, inventory, and cost controlsAssist with hospitality budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysisEnsure proper accounting for occupancy taxes, food and beverage operations, and vendor paymentsFinancial Reporting and CompliancePrepare supporting schedules for audits, tax returns, and lender reportingAssist with annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processesCoordinate with our third-party tax compliance to ensure accurate and timely year-end 1099 processing and IRS filing.Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standardsSupport external auditors, tax preparers, financial institutions, and ownership groupsProcess ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and operational efficiencyAssist with implementation and optimization of accounting systems and reporting toolsSupport special projects, acquisitions, and management reporting as neededOther Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Qualifications:5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, property management, development, or hospitality industriesBS or BA in Accounting or equivalent experienceStrong understanding of GAAP and multi-entity accountingExperience with accounting/property management software such as Yardi and QuickBooks, or similar platforms preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSupervisory Responsibility:This position does not have supervisory responsibility.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment with hybrid schedule capability.
