Contract Advertising SalespersonFederation, a 501c non-profit, touches more Jewish lives on the planet than any other organization. The Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley is focused on addressing the most pressing issues facing our community every day.Are you a motivated media ad salesperson looking to make a few extra bucks? We are looking for a contract advertising salesperson to sell advertisements in Hakol, our monthly award-winning newspaper, the Maimonides Directory, a healthcare reference book published yearly, and Shalom Lehigh Valley magazine, published every other year. We are also looking for corporate sponsorships.Responsibilities:Prospect new potential advertisers and advertising opportunities, along with corporate sponsorshipsConnect with existing and new potential advertisers via phone and emailDevelop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and existing accountsSell ads and complete advertising contractsSell corporate sponsorships and complete sponsorship contractsObtain press-ready artwork from the advertiserTrack all sales activitiesMaintain list of advertisements in each issueOur Ideal Candidate:A self-starter motivated to sell media adsIs interested in our non-profit cause and being an integral part of our successIs familiar with the Lehigh Valley area of PennsylvaniaHas previous experience in advertising salesUnderstands the nature of print advertising and how it differs from web and social media adsIs excited about connecting with ad buyers (agencies or businesses) to build relationshipsCan sell media advertising and close ad sales dealsOperates with integrityIs ethical, independent, confident, highly organized, and has excellent command of phone and email communications, including grammar and spellingBenefits:Flexible scheduleWork from anywhere in the Lehigh Valley regionGenerous commission structure
