HVAC Journeyman

Job Overview We are seeking a Commerical HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in HVAC systems, including air conditioning and refrigeration. This role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and installations of HVAC systems in both residential and commercial settings. The technician will work independently in the field, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and meets safety standards. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Troubleshoot HVAC equipment using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems. Perform appliance repair as needed to ensure optimal system performance. Utilize an ohmmeter and other tools to diagnose electrical issues within HVAC units. Work with ammonia refrigeration systems as required. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their HVAC needs. Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during each job. Requirements Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role. Strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, including air conditioning and refrigeration. Familiarity with schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting purposes. Ability to use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively. Experience with ammonia refrigeration is a plus but not mandatory. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required for field service responsibilities. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
