Please include your résumé and cover letter with your application.Upon acceptance of offer, we will coordinate new hire paperwork and pre-employment substance abuse screening (Drug Free Employer).Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:oFollow and reinforce company safety policiesoRead, review, and evaluate projects to bid for risk, schedule, chance of success and profitabilityoReviews plans and specifications to determine scope and resources necessary to complete the proposaloDevelop a complete and accurate bid proposal including quantity take-off, crew composition, material, and subcontractor pricingoCompare bid pricing to historical dataoDevelop a project D/M/WBE subcontracting planoComplete preparation of bid documentsoHelp prepare post bid documentation for awardoPrepare pre-construction handover documentsoRepresent the company in communications with the owner, engineer, suppliers and subcontractorsoVisit project sites to observe construction methodsoCommunicate and reinforce the company vision, values and goals.oPerform a variety of tasks that will include having to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods of time, stretch, walk, climb, and bend under potentially adverse field conditions and be able to perform visual tasks such as back up spotting and be able to hear and react to back up alarms, per safety protocols.Required Qualifications:oBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or demonstrate comparable field experienceoMinimum of 5 years' experience in bridge and/or heavy highway construction estimating and/or project managementoExperience in Foundations, Drilling and/or Piling.oA record of successfully estimating heavy civil construction between $5M and $40MoExperience with alternate project delivery methods such as Design Build and/or CM/GC preferredoHave a working knowledge of means and methods, crew composition, and production rates for heavy civil constructionoProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and B2W or similar estimating softwareoThe ability to work with and lead a team to bid projects within stated deadlinesoThe ability to win work with private owners/engineers by offering the best value within their budgetoStrong attention to detailoExcellent written and oral communication skillsoMust pass a pre-employment drug screenoMust have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to report to work on timeCompensation:Excellent benefit package including company paid health, dental and vision insurance with a company-funded retirement plan.Base salary range:Estimator $101,000-$118,000Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.We are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer, and we provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants without regard to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, color, age, religion, protected veteran or disability status, or genetic information or any other characteristic protected by law.
