Location: Hybrid opportunity based in Athens, Georgia, with an expectation of being in the office one day per week.
Note: Must have 2+ years of directly relevant general liability defense experience and be able to manage a general liability file from inception through resolution with limited supervision.

Job Description Manage general liability defense matters from inception through resolution
Handle files involving auto accident, trucking, premises liability, and related claims
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, reports, and other case-related documents
Conduct legal research and develop strategy for active litigation matters
Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, and assist with mediations and negotiations
Communicate directly with clients, carriers, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel
Maintain files proactively and move cases forward with limited supervision
Collaborate with colleagues when needed while maintaining strong independent ownership of your caseload
Qualifications Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active Georgia Bar admission or clear ability to obtain admission
2+ years of general liability defense experience
Experience handling cases with a strong degree of independence
Strong writing, case management, and communication skills
Experience with auto, trucking, and premises liability matters is highly preferred
