If you want to be at the heart of this global transformation and growth, read on!Lancium is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the design, execution, and lifecycle management of large-scale electrical infrastructure supporting hyperscale data center campuses and grid-integrated energy systems. This role is critical to ensuring the delivery of highly reliable, scalable, and compliant power systems aligned with mission-critical data center requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead multi-disciplinary engineering teams across Substation Design, Protection & Control (P&C), Power System Studies, Data Center Integration, and CommissioningEstablish and drive engineering strategy, standards, and governance in alignment with SVP Engineering objectivesOversee the design and execution of HV/MV/LV systems, transmission interconnections, and grid integrationEnsure robust Protection & Control systems, including relay coordination, system selectivity, and SCADA integrationAlign infrastructure design with data center requirements, including N+1 and 2N redundancy, uptime, and scalabilityManage engineering execution to meet schedule, budget, and quality objectivesEnsure compliance with applicable standards and regulations (ERCOT/ISO, IEEE, NERC, NEC)Support interconnection studies, including load flow, short circuit, and stability analysisCoordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, utilities, and clients to ensure successful project deliveryDrive risk mitigation, system reliability, and operational readinessMentor, develop, and grow high-performing engineering teamsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)Professional Engineer (PE) license required15+ years of experience in power systems engineering5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teamsProven experience with substations, data centers, grid interconnection, and energy systemsAdditional QualificationsDeep expertise in HV/MV/LV systems and substation designStrong knowledge of Protection & Control systemsExperience with data center electrical architecture and reliability modelsExcellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skillsWhat We Will Provide:Our benefits and perks add to a total rewards experience for our employees that foster a supportive, flexible, and inclusive environment.
