Administrative Assistant, Plant ManagementThe Administrative Assistant is the liaison between our clients, shippers and operations teams. They assist with processing incoming orders, verifying accuracy, validating and resolving discrepancies. Working within a freight forwarding department for air and ocean export shipments.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesReceiving and validating shipping approvals and matching to ordersDetermining shipping instructions based on contracted terms, SOPs and delivery requirementsCommunicate and resolve issues with suppliers and clients, both international and domesticReport delays and exceptionsConvey transport/logistics & compliance guidance to customer and supplierWork both independently and collaboratively to problem solveLiaise closely with other teams to deliver high level of service to customersProvides consistent and exceptional customer service levels through prompt communicationQualifications/Requirements1 years' experience in an office based customer service fieldStrong skills in use of Excel, OutlookDetail oriented and organizedAble to multi-taskPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses computer and telephone equipment. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
