Service Operations AssistantThe Service Operations Assistant supports store leadership in overseeing front-end and service operations to ensure an efficient, customer-focused environment. This role helps supervise daily activity, maintains service standards, and supports team performance and operational execution.Key Responsibilities:Assist with daily supervision of front-end and service operations, including checkstands, customer service desk, and related areasSupport scheduling, coverage coordination, breaks, and task assignments for service team membersProvide coaching and guidance to associates to reinforce customer service expectations and productivity standardsEnsure compliance with company policies, cash-handling procedures, and safety standardsAssist with cash audits, till accountability, and resolution of register discrepanciesRespond to customer questions, service issues, and escalated concerns in a professional mannerSupport training and onboarding of new service associatesMaintain cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of service areasAssist store or department leadership with reports, operational tasks, and special projectsStep into a lead role during peak periods or as assignedQualifications:Previous front-end, customer service, or retail experience requiredLeadership or supervisory experience preferredStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentBasic cash-handling and point-of-sale knowledgeFlexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidaysPhysical & Work Requirements:Ability to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift and carry items within required limitsAbility to work in a busy retail environment with constant customer interactionCore Competencies:Customer service excellenceTeam support and leadershipOrganization and attention to detailProblem solvingTime management and adaptabilityAlbertsons Companies is at the forefront of the revolution in retail.
