This position supports agency production and contract services by maintaining safety, quality, efficiency, and cleanliness standards while working independently and as part of a team. Duties may vary based on assignment.Key Responsibilities Perform general labor duties including assembly, packaging, material handling, lawn care, grounds maintenance, and woodworking operations as assigned Assemble and package products according to established production and quality standards Maintain organized workstations, inventory areas, production spaces, and outdoor grounds Operate equipment and tools safely, including lawn care, landscaping, material handling, and woodworking equipment Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance on vehicles, equipment, and tools Assist with quality control procedures to ensure customer and production specifications are met Read and use measuring devices and apply basic math skills when required for production tasks Follow all workplace safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or equipment concerns promptly Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, vehicles, and equipmentQualifications & Skills Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers Ability to complete production records, job costing, and required documentation accurately Ability to follow directions, safety procedures, and production schedules Strong attention to detail and quality standards Ability to work independently and within a team environment General industrial, assembly, packaging, landscaping, or material handling skills preferred Basic mechanical aptitude preferred for equipment operation and maintenancePhysical & Work Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for distances of 15–20 feet Ability to push, pull, and maneuver loaded skids using hydraulic floor jacks Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, reach, and handle materials throughout the workday Ability to operate hand-operated and power-driven lawn care equipment Ability to operate woodworking equipment safely Ability to tolerate exposure to dust, gas, chemical odors, and fumes Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions Valid driver’s license required when operating agency vehiclesCertifications & Training Requirements On-the-job safety and equipment training Equipment operation training applicable to assigned duties Maintain a valid driver’s license if operating agency vehiclesAdditional InformationIf you have any questions, you may contact Stacy Woolston at 812-738-4541BRS is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Drug-Free WorkplaceRequirementsEducation/Experience Requirements:No formal education required.General industrial experience in assembly, packaging, material handling, lawn care, landscaping, or woodworking preferred.Length and type of experience will be evaluated based on individual job assignments and responsibilities.
