Senior Python Developer (Backend & QA Automation)

Job Summary: We are looking for a Python Developer with experience in Django, Django REST Framework (DRF), API development, and test automation. The role combines backend development with functional testing and Playwright-based automation, working closely with product engineering teams to ensure software quality.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain backend applications and REST APIs using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework(DRF).Design database models, work with Django ORM, and optimize database queries for performance. Perform functional testing of new features and develop UI/API automation using Playwright and pytest. Write unit tests, improve test coverage, review pull requests, and promote testing best practices. Ability to work directly with product engineering teams and collaborate with Apps, Cloud, AI, and Core teams as required. Containerize and run applications using Docker and Docker Compose. Participate in code reviews, daily stand-ups, sprint activities, and technical documentation. Required SkillsPython & Backend: Strong Python, OOP, debugging, Django, DRF, Django ORM, serializers, authentication, permissions, and REST API development. Database: MySQL, SQL queries, joins, indexing, schema design, and query optimization. Testing & Automation: Functional testing, API testing, UI automation, Playwright, pytest, and unit testing. DevOps & Tools: Docker, Docker Compose, Linux, Git, basic CI/CD, and VS Code or an equivalent IDE.Networking: Fundamentals of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and SSH.

Preferred Skills: Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Celery. Knowledge of GraphQL and webhook integrations.

Development Environment: Modern multi-core CPU with 16–32 GB RAM.VS Code or an equivalent modern IDE.
